Dr. Mark Musen will speak at the ISMB's July 8 COSI panel on "Cloud Computing Alone Will Not Make Experimental Data FAIR. We Need Better Metadata First."
Dr. Musen, the Principal Investigator of the Protégé, BioPortal, and CEDAR projects, will give his talk Sunday afternoon (3 PM) as part of the panel on BD2K Power Tools: Moving to the Cloud with Industrial Strength Data. He will address the critical need for FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable) metadata approaches and tools as part of any FAIR Data Commons solution.
Dr. Musen's talk will begin at 3 PM in the Columbus AB room.
